![]() Joined: Sun Jul 12 2009, 06:47PM Posts: 45 | A couple of years ago, we'd see 2-3 MBE 4000 engines in per week with loose/broken injector lines, and fuel pouring out of that plastic cover. I guess I just wondered what was the problem, and why isn't it a common problem anymore. To clear things up (or not) I'm talking about the short, squiggly steel lines under the plastic logo cover. | ||

![]() ![]() Joined: Wed Feb 04 2009, 05:01AM Posts: 207 | Detroit Diesel had a couple of bullentins on fuel line issues on the MBE 4000. One of them was a recall that called for low pressure fuel line replacement and grinding down some plasitc in the rear cover so it would not rub against the line. ![]() Joined: Sun Jul 19 2009, 09:29PM Posts: 3 | I have seen problems with the fuel line that runs behind the alt. i have replaced more than 1 a month. I was told that it was caused by loose mounting bracket. I have not had any come backs after replacing. | ||
