Here's one for the Volvo guys: 2007 Volvo VNL780(?) with volvo engine comes in with lights staying on continuously with swtich in OFF position and active LCM 1 component failure fault as indicated by the on-board diagnostics. This unit was pulling a flatbed & was hit from behind on the interstate a few miles west of our location which took out pretty much the entire LR corner of the trailer to include bending the LRO rim so badly that it took me 30 min of torch work to get the bent sections off just to get to the lugnuts!! Is this particular failure common among the newer body-style Volvos or is this just a result of getting hit from behind?

We've had problems with the headlights staying on because of defective brake switches for the Daytime running lights. What was SAE numbers of the fault code?

Sure, ask me about something two weeks later LOL I dont remember the numbers off hand but the fault was clearly identified as LCM 1 component failure in the on-board diagnostics readout

I have seen this issue a few times, everytime it was a bad light control module. It is a safety default for the headlights to come on if there is a problem in the module.
