ALso, I have been seeing a high amount of tread separation on tires of customer equipment coming into the shop. Are they really making recap tires that poorly or what? I almost hit one thursday night on my way home from Lincoln, NE, with my lil Toyota RAV4!! Anything worth doing is worth doing well!!

When we get a failed tire back to the shop that consists of more than two sidewalls, we can usually find the failure cause. It is usuall human induced such as bad repair or mounting. I would say that 98% of our problems are caused by run-flat problems ASE Master Truck Technician L2 Advanced Level Certified

I have had more bandag tires come back into the shop at TA in the last two months, then i have ever done for oncor in a ten year period. I now try to sell a driver a new tire or even a used tire instead of the recap. Stressing the fact that im am saving him time, money, and the wait on a bridgestone rep to make sure that tire was infact bad.Which im sure most TA's only see the rep about every three to four months.
